Temporary Accommodation with Parking

Parking in Amsterdam can be a challenge especially for visitors or those who have recently arrived. Street parking may be available but the meter rates are expensive and permits are only available for registered residents. If you are only in the city a few weeks or months the costs can add up. Here therefore are some of the temporary accommodation options where parking is avaiable.

Htel Amstelveen (Laan van de Helende Meesters, Amstelveen)

The building offering the best deal in respect to parking is Htel Amstelveen. There are studio, 1 bedroom and family apartments in a purpose-built development in Amstelveen with on-site parking free of charge. Visitors can make use of the gym, pool and spa facilities. Pets are also allowed at extra cost with a 1 pet per apartment limit.

Htel has another development in Buitenveldert but here parking is only available on the street at extra cost.

World Fashion Apartments, (Kon. Wilhelminaplein, Amsterdam)

World Fashion Apartments close to Lelylaan station offers parking either in their underground car park for EUR 300 per month or off-site by private arrangement at cost. There is a large public car park opposite and street parking is also available by paying the meter. Pets are allowed with no limit to the number of animals per apartment. World Fashion Apartments offers 1, 2 and 3 bedroom fully furnished apartments.

New Amsterdam or The Gershwin Brothers, Zuidas

New Amsterdam and the Gershwin Brothers Building From Corporate Housing Factory are located in Zuidas close to Amsterdam Zuid station. Residents of both have access to an underground car park beneath each building and a parking space can be rented at extra cost. Apartments here start at EUR 135 + taxes per night and guests can use the ensuite gym, spa and pool.

The Student Hotel City (Wibautstraat) or The Student Hotel West (Jan van Galenstraat)

The Student Hotel (TSH) has 2 buildings in Amsterdam, both of which have access to parking available for guests. Spots cannot be booked in advance and cost EUR 15 per day.

Despite the name this accommodation is aimed at all types of guests. Students live in a separate section from the hotel and apartment rooms though all have access to the common areas including shared workspaces and on-site bar / restaurant. The City building is TSH’s flagship development located just east of the Amstel on Wibautstraat. The West location is outside of the ring near Jan van Galenstraat metro offering easy access by metro to Zuid, Sloterdijk and the city or by car to the highway. Nightly rents here are generally lower than many other short stay accommodations.

Houthavens Apartments, Haparandaweg (Houthavens) 

The Houthavens apartments through Short Stay Group also have parking spots available.   This area in the Western Docklands is located approximately 10 minutes by bus from Centraal Station or a short ferry ride to NDSM.   Previously an industrial district, Houthavens is being redeveloped into a desirable residential area with many new builds. 

Short Stay Group also has apartments in NDSM and Eastern Docklands offering parking, but these are aimed more at tourists than business travelers or those relocating. 

Amsterdam Identity Apartments (Naritaweg, close to Sloterdijk)

Amsterdam Identity Apartments are located close to Sloterdijk station. Parking here is available in their gated car park underground the hotel for an additional EURO 15 per day. The building offers 127 fully furnished apartments and guests have access to onsite sauna and gym.

Corendon Hotel Village (Schipholweg, Badhoevedorp)

Corendon have a large number of serviced apartments in their Hotel Village in Badhoevedorp. The location is very much on the outskirts of Amsterdam but they offer a regular shuttle bus to the city centre and to Schiphol as well as being close to public transport bus stops. Parking is available at extra cost the actual amount depending how long it is needed for. And guests have access to all the onsite restaurants, bars in the Hotel Village along with the wellness centre.

ApartHotel Adagio Amsterdam South (Prof J H Bavincklaan, Amstelveen)

Adagio Amsterdam South is located in Amstelveen. Associated with Accor Hotels the development opened in May 2018 and offers apartments starting from studios up to 4 bedrooms. Guests have access to a gym. Although Google maps suggests parking is free of charge, they advised the cost is an extra EURO 15 per day in their private car park.
